JEE Advanced is the gateway to get admisison in IITs.To make eligible for JEE Advanced exam, Candidates should be among the top 2,24,000 (including all categories) by scoring positive marks in Paper-1 of JEE (Main)
To Appear of JEE Main, Candidates should have taken 5 subject in 12th class & Candidates should have secured at least 75% marks in class 12th exam or be in the top 20 percentile in the class 12th exam conducted by the respective boards.:
1-Language
2-Physics
3-Mathematics
4-Any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject), 5-Any other subject
JEE Main Exam Pattern (Paper-I):
JEE Main will consist 3 subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and each subject will have 30 questions. Each question will carry 4 marks and 1 mark will deduct for each wrong answer. in 2017, JEE Main cut off score for JEE Advanced was: General Category- 81 OBC- 49 SC- 32 ST- 27 JEE Advanced Exam Pattern : In 2018, JEE Advanced exam will be condcuted in online mode only. JEE Advanced will have 2 papers and candidates must appear in both the paper. Both paper I & II will have questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. JEE Advanced exam pattern and maximum marks are not fixed and it changes every year. To get admission in IIT under general cateory, you should score more than 40% marks in JEE Advanced. To get admission in top IITs like Bombay, Madras, Kanpur, Delhi, Karagpur Etc., you should score more than 50% marks in JEE Advanced Paper
