How to become an IAS officer?
Even though the exam to be undertaken is popularly known as IAS exam, it is officially called UPSCCivil Services Exam. The UPSC CSE consists of 3 stages Prelims, Mains, and Interview.Getting into Indian Administrative Service is not easy considering the competition involved, but not impossible for a candidate with right attitude and approach.

In order to become IAS you have to appear for
UPSC held Civil Services Exam.
You can check the eligibility criteria below
-You should be between age of 21 and 32 years as on August 1.
- You can be graduate in any stream
- Candidates appearing at UPSC Civil Services examination shall be permitted a maximum of six attempts, which means the candidates who have appeared for the IAS examination for six times will not be considered eligible for UPSC CSE. Moreover, the OBC candidates can appear for a maximum of nine times and canddiates belonging to SC and ST category are expempted from the attempts clause of UPSC Civil Services exam.
