Hello,

If you belong from any reserved category, and you want avail the admission through your category then you must need the caste certificate for admission in any IIT or NIT, if you don't have the caste certificate during your admission then you can't avail the admission under your category merit, and you will be treated as a general category candidate.

Hope this helps, all the best.

I don't have have my caste validity certificate and it's my repeat year now. So now when I fill the application form for 2022 jee mains, what caste should I mention general or obc? If I mention obc then it will create a problem in future and if I mention general then does it affect the application form because while filling the application form for 2021 jee mains I had mentioned there my caste as obc. This is my problem, please answer.
