Hey Thousiya!
I am afraid you will need an OBC Certificate. It is important as it proves that you belong to the OBC category.
Wishing you All the Best!
Hello Thousiya,
You need to get a separate certificate issued. You need to get Income certificate issued, caste certificate and residence certificate. Then you will finally get your OBC-NCL certificate issued.
If you are an OBC ( and make sure you are by checking from the NCBC site ) then you can get OBC certificate issued if your paternal relative possesses one.
Even if your paternal relative doesn't have any then also you can get it but the process is quite tedious.
You would have to get attestation from three class 1 officer claiming your genuinity of caste. In addition to that, you might also have to undergo field verification. You may also be asked to get your validity of caste from community head.
Apart from that two people as a witness who would have to give a testimonial about your caste during field verification.
Relative documents showing proof of your caste and your relationship with the one claiming to have the caste.
I guess these documents would be enough to get you to issue your OBC certificate. Rest you have to do is get the relevant forms from District Magistrate office or tehsildar and get it verified too from the same.
Normally it takes 14-20 days.
Hope this helps.
