i don't have psychology in my 12th class . I am a PCM student alongside with English , physical education and computer science . can I still take psychology for further studies ??

Yes, you can pursue Psychology even if you didn't had Psychology in your class XII education.

Graduation or getting a degree in psychology can be done through two different modes. Either you can pursue Bachelor of Science or BSc Psychology or as Bachelor of Arts or BA Psychology. BA Psychology is a 3-year full-time under-graduation program that includes the study of mind and behaviours.

Here are few points regarding eligibility for undergraduation in psychology -

• Candidates from all streams can pursue psychology courses.

• Candidates who have completed 10+2 from a recognized board of education are eligible with a prerequisite that they have scored at least 55% marks.

With PCM and computer science, you can undoubtedly become a psychologist. Psychology is a stream-independent career, so it makes no difference where you come from.

However, because you did not have the relevant subject in 10+2, some colleges in DU may consider a 2% reduction in your 12th marks for cut-off during admission to BA (Honrs.) Psychology or BSc (Honrs.) Psychology courses. Don't worry, there will be plenty more options available to you.
