UPSC Civil Services recruitment is carried out in three phases Preliminary, Mains and Interview.
While the first phase, UPSC Civil Services Prelims is just a screening test for shortlisiting candidates, the second phase, UPSC Civil Services Mains is of evaluative nature and is appeared by the candidates who have qualified prelims exam of UPSC civil services.
Those candidates, who qualify in the mains round, are called for UPSC Civil Services Interview i.e. the final phase of selection process.
Age:
Candidates should be between age of 21 and 32 years as on August 1, year of admission.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates need to be graduate in any stream for appearing UPSC Civil Services examination.
Those candidates who will be shortlisted by the Commission for taking the Civil Services (Main) Examination will be required to produce academic proof of passing the requisite examination (Graduation Degree Certificate) with their application for the Mains Examination.
