I expect a rank of 35K (general),,,Should I go for lower branch in decent nits or CS branch in iiits ?

Hello ,
If you are expecting your rank to be around 35k , you might get branches like CHEMICAL , PRODUCTION ENG ,ENGINEERING PHYSICS . Also you can get most of the branches of NITs of northeast except CSE. But if you are planning to study CS then go for IIITs , or else you could get into IIT with the above branches.
It totally depends on the branch you would like to study. Your branch is important for your further studies so choose wisely. IIITs are considered to be good for branches like CSE or IT , in terms of coding. So good luck.

U have not told ur opinion that what is better getting these branches at nit or CS of new iiits in terms of placement and scope ??

Hello ,
If we look at last year data for placements , IIIT Hyderabad achieved a placement record of 100% during its 2019-2020 placement drive as 306 students who graduated from the institute successfully received job offers from various companies with highest package of 85 lakh pa. CSE that they teach in college is very much beyond the average school curriculum. Computer science where the packages offered by the industry are much higher. At IITs, there are multiple disciplines that are on offer.
Talking about NIT Trichy in Chemical branch , About 80-90% of the students got placed with an average salary package varying from 7 LPA - 8 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 1.5 crores per annum by Google. The lowest salary package offered ranges from 6 LPA - 7 LPA.
So , it all depends upon you what branch or college you are interested in
