Hello Pushkar,
Now I am going to tell you the secret to success in Physics. No matter how weak you are, no matter which board you belong, or which exam you are preparing for. The first step is to identify what is the syllabus for the particular exam. For example in the case of JEE main- the syllabus is of Class 11th and 12th.
After you identify the syllabus, go on google and search for top 5 books for that particular subject for that particular exam(example for JEE physics you have ncert, cengage, dc pandey, ie irodov, hc verma, previous year question papers, etc...)
The next step is to identify the rating of each book. Suppose you decide to follow, your school text book, ncert, hc Verma, ie irodov, dc pandey, and resnik Halliday for JEE physics; identify the level of each book. You should start from the base in order to climb to the top. The biggest problem for jee aspirants is that they directly come to solve the previous year problems, or directly start solving problems of books such as H C verma or ie irodov, why? Because somebody(sometimes coaching institutes) recommend it to be the ultimate book for cracking exam. Therefore as soon as the student sees the first question, which is like finding the unit or a formula based question, he solves it, excitement rises to 100%, but as soon as he goes to 2nd question, the level increases drastically, as these books focus on application-based approach, not on formula application.
Therefore you need to identify the level of each book you are going to solve for your exam. I would suggest the order- first your school text book(eg-nootan) then, NCERT then HC Verma, then some good coaching institute material for JEE MAIN, then DC PANDEY, then, PREVIOUS YEAR PAPERS FOR JEE MAIN, then ALL MATERIAL AGAIN, then JEE ADVANCE QUESTIONS OF COACHING, then JEE ADVANCE PREVIOUS YEAR QUESTION PAPER AND IE IRODOV side by side.
you may skip any book, but don't jump from the order.
I suggest you go through youtube video lessons in case you face any difficulty in understanding any topic at any moment. You may ask the power of YOUTUBE from any college student, as they are the people you make the most use out of it.
I also suggest you download the solved version of these, probably a softcopy, as it will help you guide in case you miss anything.
In case you are preparing for JEE 2019(April) obviously you don't have time now to go through all these.
The short cut to above is, solve at least 3 papers(practise or previous year) and learn from your mistake-ERROR AND CORRECT APPROACH. Reappear for that practice exam till you get 360/360.
All the best
Regards
Hello pushkar
Physics is a very easy or hard subject depend on how you take it.
As in physics you have to imagine and understand the things what is happening.
And sometime you have to just assume or take it as it is happening .( Not seen by eyes).
So just focus on the concepts and you should follow a good teacher or guider who has the deep knowledge of subject and explain each and everything to you what is happening because teacher plays important role here.
And practice numericals without seeing solutions and try to make notes of important points and formulas.
Follow good books like : NCERT ; CENGAGE; HC VERMA ; DC PANDEY ; IE ERODOVE etc.
So good luck
Hii Pushkar,
1.Physics is the subject in which you have to imagine what is happening. So,the clearer you imagine the more your chance to understand it.
2.Make a formulae book in which each and every formula should be written of the subject. Many times in paper questions are asked directly formula based so you will get help from it.
