I fill state quota in neet 2020 form, so can I apply for AIIMS ? means can I get seat in aiims?

This is the first time that NEET is conducting its admissions through NEET score through All India Counselling and not State Counselling. And so you can appear for All India Counselling and secure a seat in AIIMS if you score atleast more than 625 depending on your Category.  Under All India Quota, All the 15% of All India Quota Seats except for Jammu and Kashmir, 100% Seats at Deemed and Central Universities, IP Quota seats in ESIC Colleges, Seats at AFMC, AIIMS and JIPMER are filled by DGHS. The 85% State Quota and Private Colleges are filled by the respective State Authorities. And there are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly provided the Candidate has registered for the respective State Counselling and has not been able to secure a seat in the Counselling. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that. Now once NEET results have been declared, the DGHS on behalf of MCI will release a merit list and open the Registration process. And you get to choose the colleges that you want to opt for during Counselling. You can select as many colleges as you want and there is no upper limit on the no.of Colleges that you can select. Now it is important to lock your choices or the system would lock the choices for you. And the allotment of seats is done based on the basis of merit and preference. Now the process is more or less similar for both All India and State Counsellings. There are 2 Rounds and a Mop up round. If you do not want to opt for the seat alloted in Ruond 1, you can go for Free Exit and Upgrade option and you will not be penalised for it. But the Free exit option is only for Round 1.
