NTA has mentioned in its Information brochure that once the correction window has been closed, you cannot make changes to your application form. Neither does NTA entertain any requests for changes in the application form nor does it make any changes on its own on your behalf. So unfortunately, if you have selected General Category as your Category you have to go  with it but cannot opt EWS reservation at this point of time when Counselling has begun.
