NEET 2024: Cutoff (OBC, SC, ST & General Category)
NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
Hi aspirant,
You will be allowed to write the examination but the problem will occur at the time of counseling. There may be two scenarios as you have filled the wrong category:
Scenario -1 You belong to genersl category and wrongly filled any reserved category, then your candidature would be cancelled and need to apply again in the next year.
Scenario 2- You belong to reserved category and wrongly you have filled up as general category then during counseling you would be considered as a general candidate only no matter the certificate you have.
In this situation also you can apply next year for better results and reservation.
Hope it helps!!
There is no way to change your category. If you have filled Unreserved category and belong to reserve category then will not get benefitted, but if you filled reserved category by mistake use unreserved category during counselling.
The correction window already closed and admit card released, so you cannot change the category.
Documents to be carried at the exam centre:
- Passport size photograph (same as on the application form)
- Valid ID proof [PAN card/Driving license/Voter ID/Passport/Aadhaar Card (with photograph)/Ration card any other government document]
- PwD certificate (if applicable)
- Proforma of admit card of NEET with a postcard size photo pasted on it.
- Face msk, hand gloves, transparent water bottle and sanitizer (50ml)

There is limited time left for neet 2021, so you should be focusing on your preparation by revising the chapters and solve mock test as well as previous year question papers. It will boost your confidence, pace up your speed, helps in time management and helps in your preparation.
