i found that so many colleges won't give lateral entry into btech after diploma, what to do

Hello Aspirant,

Yes it is correct that not all engineering colleges give admission to diploma students through lateral entry program and in this case the candidate should take admission in first year of B. Tech. and then only he/she can be promoted to 2nd year.

Fir admission to 1st year you have two ways either you can get through entrance examinations or you can go for direct admission on the basis of merit in 10+2.

Now there are various engineering entrance examinations like BITSAT, VITEEE, JEE-Main and JEE-Advance, SRMJEEE, WBJEE and so on.

Some colleges such as Graphic Era University, UPES dehradun, and some other institutions also accep admission on the basis of merit in 10+2.

Out of the aforementioned examinations JEE-Main and JEE-Advance are one of the most toughest exams in India.
