Hi Aimaan,
First of all congratulation on cracking this difficult exam.
I would want to stress on the point that only 15% of the total seats availble in Govt. Medical Colleges are available for All India counselling. To be honest, its a very small proportion of the seats which are put under All India quota and especially under the General Category.
As per previous year reports. the lowest rank cut-off for any Govt. Medical Colleges in any state under All India Quota was Imphal Medical College with a closing rank of 10352 and Mizoram Medical college for around 14400. To generalise it the range goes from about 9000-10500. If you wish to pursue dentistry, the cut off ranks go upto 17000.
This doesnt mean you let your chin drop. You still have your home state counselling rounds to look forward to where the bulk of the seats will be allocated plus the multiple rounds of counselling for the All India Quota seats too. This is the time you don't lose hope and keep carrying forward.
Keep that passion up and you shall achieve the success you desire. Best of luck. Please feel free to ask any further doubts.
Hello Aiman Naaz, with 161144 and that too when you belongs to the unreserved category, it is very difficult, or say it will not happen. As for the general category students, the cut-off for the government colleges for All India Quota is very high, and with this rank, you can't get admission there
Provided that you belong to the general category, I'm sorry to inform you that you stand no chancea for a seat at a government college through all India counselling. You have tough chances even in the state counselling. The closing rank of the general category for the AIQ is approx around 8000. So, better luck next time. You have chances in the private dental/medical colleges.
From the last year statistics of ranking and college allotment , I would say it is hard for you to get seat in a government college , but some eastern states are possible , you must wait up to mopup round so that u can get a seat in a possible government medical college
With this rank and belonging to general category you cannot get govt medical seat anywhere in india through all india quota. Your chances through state quota ate also very less. However you can get private medical college in your domicile state through state quota. Private medical colleges fill their seats through state quota only so you cannot think you getting private medical college in different state. I provided a link which can help you to find colleges as per your neet score. Check your chances there.
We are predicting this on the basis of previous year cut off trends. We. Are not sure about this year cut off as it changes every year depending on no.of candidates, no.of seats and difficulty of exam. So hope for better result this time.
Here is a tool which can predict college on the basis of neet score. I hope this might help you
