In the previous year, the cut-off for Mech in Machine Design was 220 for your given category. If you are interested you can look for some other stream and cut-off ranks for the same. Please visit the link below for previous year cut-off's -

Hi,

With your 1043 APpgcet rank and your category you have less chances in getting top colleges. You will get cad/cam, thermal in some engineering colleges, where you can't expect good faculty and better campus.
