I got 135/240 in 2021 manipal entrance exam. is there any possibility to get the main campus for cse branch for me?
Hello,
It is quite difficult to predict the chances of getting seat without knowing the rank because the seat allotment depends on the cut off rank, seat availability and total number of candidates participating in the counselling. The merit list will be released by the authorities soon containing the rank. Since you have enquired, your rank is expected to be in between 10000-15000. Last year a candidate with rank 866 in counselling round number 3 secured admission to Computer Science Engineering in Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal. Considering the cut off you do not have chances of getting seat in CSE in MIT, Manipal. The actual rank may vary based on factors such as total number of candidates appeared, highest score, lowest score, tie breakers etc.
Cut off is subjected to change, it may increase or decrease depending on the factors such as total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

Hello Mayank,
The closing rank of computer science engineering branch for MIT Karnataka last year(2020) was 3042 in 8th round of counselling.
By analyzing previous years cutoff if we prepare an expected Marks vs Rank for this year(2021), then this is how it will look like.
Marks Rank
185+ 1147
175-185 2234
170-175 3042
165-170 3653
160+ 5695
155+ 10978
150+ 18581
130+ 40303
By looking at the rank you have mentioned in your question, unfortunately it seems there are very little chances that you will be getting computer science engineering in the main campus. Cutoff may go and down as it depends on various factors like difficulty level of paper, total number of candidates who appeared in the exam in a particular year, total number of seats, etc.
I'll suggest you not to lose hope and keep proceeding in whatever you are doing.
You can also try for other campuses of Manipal University.
