The chances of getting into CSE group is very difficult. There is scope for getting any other groups.

No! If you are from other state other than tamilnadu then there is no chance of getting CSE in sastra University. The closing rank in cse for non-local students in thanjavur campus is 500. But you can get ict,it,chemical enginneering and some other branches with your rank.
