You have not mentioned which category you belong to. With a cut off of 140, if you belong to general category, the chances of procuring a seat in ECE in some top colleges are less when comparing the results of previous years. To get a seat in ECE in some top colleges like SSN and PSG, one should have a cut off score of 190 or above to remain in the safe zone. But, one thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats. You can try for managment quota, if possible.
