In order to get admission in government engineering colleges in India, you have to give and clear JEE Mains Examination, which is an All India Level Entrnace level Examination which gives admission to various Engineering Courses in Various Government Institutes of India.
Further, If you are talking about the Private Engineering colleges, then you can get admission in various B.tech courses based on your class 12th marks. This type of admission is called as direct admission. Some Private engg colleges take direct admissions while some also take entrance exam to get admission in B.Tech courses, like SRM, VIT, etc. With the above 148 marks in PCM, Your aggregate score in PCM is 49.3 percentage. With this percentage you will get admission in Private engineering colleges. Usually, JEE Main exam requires a minimum of 75% for general category and 65% for reserved category in 12th class examination . However, this year NTA has discarded the percentage criteria and only the 12th pass certificate is required for registration.
