I got 151 on my first attempt at NMAT 2018 and also have more than 2 years of work experience. What are my chances?

Dear Abhirup

The cut-off of NMIMS mumbai is aroud 208 plus as per last year trends. Any score below that will end you in NMIMS banglore at best. So if you are confident that you can score 210 plus in subsequent attempts and you have decent acadmics and profile then go for it.

But for 150 there is no chance of NMIMS mumbai.

All the best.

Why not increase the scope to Snap Cat and Cmat instead of just targeting Nmat eligible colleges.

Only NMIMS Mumbai is par enough in terms of infrastructure and Quality of education rest are either below average or horrible...

So your chances in Nmat are pretty less because even if you improve in the next attempts it might go upto 180 or something similar, considering the normalisation that they apply.

And technically speaking even if you get 210 which is the average cutoff of NMIMS Mumbai there is still no guarantee to get in there given the amount of competition that you will face in GD-PI rounds.

So instead of wasting 4-6k + time. Tryout for other exams and stand for a chance to get better options for colleges. Even a good percentile in Cmat can end u up in SIMSREE, KJ, GIM and other good colleges.

All the Best.

I always remain quite positive about my attitude and knowledge to clear the GD/PI rounds if the cutoffs are clear. I was asking about some feedbacks. Sorry to say I don't appreciate your comments. Thanks anyway.

It's totally okay you can go Ahead with the process but my idea is always to keep backup just in case you mess up. Just take care about this.

Usually, the cutoff for NMIMS Mumbai is around 200-210.And cutoff for other campuses are also around 180.So,chances are bleak. You can go for another attempt if you are confident about getting past the cutoffs.Or wait for results of other exams,if you have filled other forms as well.NMAT mainly focuses on speed. So working on that would be benificial. All the best!

Hello Abhirup,

NMAT is conducted by NMIMS for various institutions which accept their College but major being NMIMS MUMBAI AND NMIMS Bengaluru.

Cutoff for alst year nmims Mumbai was 210 marks, So, I would suggest if you want NMIMS Mumbai give another attempt to surpass previous year score as its around 200+ every year.

If you can surpass that score it will very good opportunity to cler GD PI because of 2 years work Ex you have.

If you want NMIMS M go for another attempt.

Hope it clears your doubts. All the best for your future endeavours.

Feel free to contact incase of any queries.

Thanks.

If not NMIMS Mumbai, then what about Bengaluru? What was the cut off last year? Apart from NMIMS Mumbai, what are my chances to get into others aprt from Mumbai? And how are those as compared to NMIMS Mumbai?

According to you, if I get Bangalore then will it be wise enough to get into that?
