i got 1856 rank in jeemains paper 2 b.arch at obc ncl category can i get seat at iiest shibpur at csab 2020

As you have secured 1856 obc category rank in jee paper 2 then it is quite impossible for you to get any seat in b.arch in iiest shibpur in josaa counselling even if you belong from home state quota. And as you have secured 1856 obc ncl rank, then your CRL rank must be lying between 6000 to 6500.

Even in Csab counselling ( as per seeing the last year cut off trends) there is no chance for you to get iiest shibpur, if you belong from other state quota.

Last year for csab round 1 counselling the cut of closing ranks for architecture courses in your preferred college for obc candidates on the basis of CRL ranks was :-

IIEST SHIBPUR :-
Home state - 12295
Other state - 5444

And Last year for csab round 2 counselling there were no seats left in iiest shibpur for 5yr b arch course.

So, as you can see in csab round you have chance of getting architecture branch in iiest shibpur only when you belong fron west bengal. And as pee your profile I can assume that you are from andhra pradesh, so you can't get iiest shibpur even in csab special round counseling.

Firstly congratulations for your excellent rank in JEE Mains , it's not at all easy and I'm sure you did your best. Now coming to your question , with your category rank , you have fair chances of getting a seat in IIEST shibpur. The chances however are not 100% but you can still be hopeful of getting a seat atleast in the CSAB round most likely.
