It's very difficult to get a seat for btech mec in BMS with 18k rank. As BMS is one of the best college of Banglore, and its cutoff closed around 13k-15k.
You can check your luck in the counselling as on the day of counseling, anything can happen. You had a slight chance for it, but can't say that you will definitely get a seat in BMC.
