You got good rank in the exam but getting seat in first round is not so easy.
According to my knowledge a rank of around 1100 would secure a seat for sure in the institute you aspired but your rank is not too bad to accept defeat pretty early so try for it you have chances of making it.

How? To opt fees category in Amrita (AEEE) Sir My Rank is 268 My doubt is not in AMRITA handbook . If I prefered 1) CSE 2) CsAI. for example cse in higher fee category csai in lower category may be cse allotted as 1 prefence.After round 1 counselling Can I go from higer fee to lower fee?
