The qualifying marks for emcat are released after seat allotment. Minimum qualifying marks or percentile is 25% of the maximum marks. For SC/ST there is no minimum qualifying percentile. After the qualifying of this exam, your rank and marks decide on the college you would get and whether you are eligible for its admission. The cutoffs and qualifying marks are decided based on

• number of students applying

• total questions asked

• previous year's cutoff markd

• difficulty level of the paper
