With 230 marks you cannot get MBBS/BDS government seats. You can get BDS private seat in Karnataka. Also, you can get management quota seats in MBBS through ALL India Deemed University counselling or your respective state counselling. You can get a seat for AYUSH courses. if none of the above stated options interest you, yes you should take a drop if you believe that you can increase your score tremendously. With the current trend, you have to score 590+ in order to be sure of getting a seat. You have got it in you to achieve it. Just focus on the core concepts and read NCERT thoroughly. You haven't mentioned the State you hold the domicile of or the Category you belong to. This is important because each State has different Cut offs across Categories. But to just answer your question,a s there is no limit for no.of attempts at NEET nor is there any upper age limit at this point in time, you can reappear for NEET. If above mentioned options does not feel good then you can definitely drop a year and study well and score 590+ marks which will help you getting a seat in government medical college.
