Hey!

With 230 marks you cannot get MBBS/BDS government seats. You can get BDS private seat in Karnataka. Also, you can get management quota seats in MBBS through ALL India Deemed University counselling or your respective state counselling. You can get a seat for AYUSH courses. To get a list of colleges where you have a chance of getting  NEET/BDS seat, you can use the NEET College Predictor here

if none of the above stated options interest you, yes you should take a drop if you believe that you can increase your score tremendously. With the current trend, you have to score 590+ in order to be sure of getting a seat. You have got it in you to achieve it. Just focus on the core concepts and read NCERT thoroughly. Give as many tests as you can do. Practicing and reviewing a huge amount of questions will help you increase your score. You can take help from reliable sources. Hope you make a sound decision, Thank you !

With a score of 220, your rank might be approximately between 390772-415591. This is an expected rank range: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-result-marks-vs-rank.

You haven't mentioned the State you hold the domicile of or the Category you belong to. This is important because each State has different Cut offs across Categories. But to just answer your question,a s there is no limit for no.of attempts at NEET nor is there any upper age limit at this point in time, you can reappear for NEET. If you want to prepare for NEET, you can try our NEET Knockout package: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/

Hi, your marks are too low to get you a seat in government college for MBBS or BDS. With these marks you can apply for private dental colleges or can go for MBBS under management quota in  deemed colleges. You can apply for Ayush courses as well.
If above mentioned options does not feel good then you can definitely drop a year and study well and score 590+ marks which will help you getting a seat in government medical college. Remember cutoff varies every year depending on number of students appearing in exam, difficulty level of exam, students scoring more than you and your category.
Hope this helps
