Dear Aspirant,

Now as you know you have very less score in NEET,so don't able to get any good college based on your score. You have three options now:

  • Drop a year and prepare for NEET
  • Do something other
  • Do some other course and prepare for NEET simultaneously.

Now first of all its totally depends on you that where you want to build your career. I'm going to tell you some details of the above three points:

1) Now if you want to take a drop and prepare for NEET,go ahead but remember it will take your whole one year but may build your future beautifully. You have to be very confident that you can crack the exam with good marks after the one year preparations. I suggest you to get a coaching not because you can't self study but because of the better time management, but if you think you can manage your time yourself then you can easily crack NEET without coaching. BUT remember one thing Time- Management is very very important in drop year.

2) Now if you have don't much interest in pursuing career in medical field but you gave  NEET because of the heard-mentality,I will recommend you to go and pursue some other course. Also you can go to the private colleges for doing MBBS/BDS or some other medical courses if you have financially very strong.

3) Now in this thing,if you don't want to waste one year but also want to build career in medical field. You can take admission in some course like bsc. Or anything and starts preparing for NEET simultaneously. Of course it will save your one year but also it will put more burden on you. If you are able to handle this extra pressure you can go with this option.

Also you can take admission in some private medical colleges and prepare for NEET but there's no point there of wasting lot money there.

HOPE I'M ABLE TO CLEAR YOU DOUBT!!

One more thing, you can also use the following link to predict the colleges based on your score and then take further decisions :

Hey!

With 230 marks you cannot get MBBS/BDS government seats. You can get BDS private seat in Karnataka. Also, you can get management quota seats in MBBS through All India Deemed University counselling or your respective state counselling. You can get a seat for AYUSH courses. To get a list of colleges where you have a chance of getting MBBS/BDS seat, you can use NEET predictor tool here

If none of the above stated options interest you, yes you should take a drop if you believe that you can increase your score tremendously. With the current trend, you have to score 590+ in order to be sure of getting a seat. You have got it in you to achieve this. Just focus on the core concepts and read NCERT thoroughly. Give as many tests as you can do. Practicing and reviewing a huge amount of questions will help you increase your score. You can take help from reliable sources.

Hope you make a sound decision. Thank You!
