Hello Aspirant,
24000 is a very good rank and for sure you can get a NIT . If you want to have a seat in a very good NIT then you have to compromise with your branch such as chemical, biotech, mining, etc. But if are ready to go for lower NITs then there is a fair chance of you getting a seat even in cs branch also .
It also depends on the category in which you fall i.e general, obc,sc/st . Also your home state makes a difference. As there is a reservation on the basis of your home state.
With respect to IIITs the case is same as of NIT's it totally depends on your branch selection, your category and home state quota.
You try for NIT's such as NIT-Silchar, NIT-Meghalaya, NIT-Nagaland, NIT-Mizoram, etc.
You can also use the college predictor for getting an idea of which NIT or IIT you can get with the branches

Also you can go through the last year's cutoff for a better understanding . Though the opening and closing ranks changes each year so do not get totally rely on it. They are just as approximates.
Do apply for councilling and wait for the results as you will surely grab a seat in a NIT or an IIIT.
Hope this helps.
Further if any queries feel free to ask.
All the best!!
Regards.
Hello Aspirant,
If this is your general rankk in JEE mains then congrats because you are having high chances to get a seat in good NIT or IIIT as per your choice. But if this rank is SC/ST category thenn you will not get admission in NIT or IIIT. With this rank you can even get your preffered branch but may get difficulty in getting CSE in ttop NIT's and IIIT's.
All the Best !
