Greetings Aspirant,

I hope you are doing well. I see that you have scored 279 marks in your neet examination and that you belong to Sc category. With the marks scored it is not possible for you to get a government seat for MBBS. Anyways you could get a seat in private colleges through management. And yes there are good chances for you to get a seat in GITAM Medical College. These are few of the other colleges for MBBS.

1. CMC Vellore- Christian Medical College, Vellore, Tamil Nadu.

2. KMC Manglore- Kasturba Medical College, Manglore, Karnataka.

3. St John's Medical College, Bangalore, Karnataka.

4. MS Ramaiah Medical, College, Banglore, Karnataka.

5. HIMSR Delhi- Humdard Institute of Medical Science and Research, New Delhi.

Dear aspirant,

As far as your marks is concerned in neet 2021 let me tell you that you stand fair chances of getting a seat in gitam medical college. However there are other things that needs to be considered like various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

You will have the benefit of the sc quota and you will get the seat. You can also check the previous year trends from the below link to get the proper insights of the current situation.

I hope this answer helped you out!!
