I got 298 out of 600 in 12 board exam it's there any chance for getting the admissions at IIT Madras

Hello Sakthi,

The eligibility criteria for getting admission in IIT Madras you have to secure general rank under 5,000 and also have to score minimum 75% ( for General and OBC ) and 65 % ( for SC and ST ). Your score is not fulfilling the criteria ( you have got 49 % ), so you can't get admission there....

First of all to get into IIT Madras for UG courses you have to appear for JEE advanced.



As per the eligibility criteria of JEE mains and advanced you should have a minimum of 75% in your 12th board examination or remain in the top 20 percentile of your respective board for general and OBC category candidate.



Now looking at your score it's clear that neither you have crossed the minimum percentage criteria nor you are going to remain in the top 20 percentile, so there's no way for you to get into IIT Madras.
