There are in total 420 seats in AEC. Students capacity per branch are as follows-

1. Mechanical - 60 ( It is the most difficult branch to get at AEC. So, for general category your rank should be in between 1–150.
2. Civil - 90 ( your rank should be in between 1–300/350).
3. Electrical- 90 ( rank- 1–400)
4. Electronics- 60 (rank 1–500)
5. CSE- 20 ( rank 1–400/450)

For other branches like industrial production (IP), instrumentation and chemical engineering, your rank can vary from 1–700.
