I got 36 mark in theory, 24 in practical and my total Mark is 60 in chemistry compartment exam 2020 in 12 , but my result show xxxx I getting confused what is the meaning of"xxxx" and am I pass or not in chemistry ?

Hi,

Yes, you are pass in your chemistry examination as passing marks in theory are 23 marks . 'XXXX' stand for improvement in CBSE results. It means that you must have applied it under the improvement examination section. If a student has 6 subjects, and he got reappear in one of the subject, he is considered as overall pass but he/she can appear for that leftover examination under the improvement category. So you have no need to worry about it, you are pass in your chemistry examination.
