MKB quota or Maharastra Karnataka Border Dispute quota falls under special category reservation (horizontal reservation). In order to claim under this, you must belong to the area that comes under this quota. There are total 4 districts(Gulbarga, Karwar, Bidar and belgaum) and 865 villages or towns that belong to these districts. You will need to provide disputed area certificate at the time of counselling. In govt mbbs colleges around 8 seats are reserved for the candidates who are willing to claim under this quota.
It is difficult for you to get a seat in a govt MBBS college in Maharastra as cutoff are usually more than 400 marks for SC category. In order to check your possibility of getting a seat, you can try our college predictor tool given below:
