I got 38 marks in maths but scored 83% in 12 boards, will my mathematics score prevent me from getting a profile job in computer science?
Hi Sanjay!
It is seen that you have an average score in Mathematics subject. This might slightly affect your college admissions based on your score. As far as you have a decent percentage in your boards, the colleges might not ask you marks of a particular subject and hinder admission process. But, it won't be a problem once you get into a well-reputed college. I think you must focus more on the subject as you will be appearing for many competitive exams for securing admission in college, wherein maths form a considerable part of the exams. Mathematics is considered to be the base for other related subjects and it is preferable that you brush up the concepts well. You must concentrate on the hard topics and practice them well.
As far as job is concerned, they mostly look for highly skilled students with much technical knowledge, along with non-technical and management skills. Mostly, they would be getting your 12th marks certificate for judging on their minimum parameters, thus, won't be affecting much. You must be thorough with your programming skills to have an edge over other candidates. Marks don't matter much for many companies as they source for talents among a large candidate pool.
Acquiring programming skills may give you an edge among other candidates. You must be well-versed with at least 2-3 languages, such that it may be a great addition to your career inventory. Also, it is presumed that one must be able to solve the problems with high-level languages with minimum error. Doing the tasks before the deadline adds stars or good rating, which would be referred to higher officials. Updation of skills is also required.
Presently, you need to focus on studying all the concepts well to attempt your competitive exams and score well to get admitted. Choose your course well in your admission based on your interest. The weak concepts must be revised again such that they may not hinder your mark-gaining strategy. Depending upon you grasping of other skills in the computer field, you get through a job and paid well, which means that when you enroll in a good college, you are automatically towards the pathway to a brighter future, led by your efforts.
Happy studying!
