I got 40 marks in GATE 2019,gate score 354,electrical branch,obc category, b.tech cgpa 8.2 Can I get admission in iits for direct PhD.
Hello Candidate,
As you CGPA is above 8.0 you can fetch seat in IITs.
GATE score is not mandatory for PhD programme in IITs.
Assuming that you have qualified GATE during M Tech admission , it will help you in shortlisting process even if it is not valid.
The only hurdle is written exam and/or interview. However, some of the IITs may ask for a valid GATE score .
