I got 40 percent in jee mains (general) then on basis of this score can i join other private btech colleges whoch are based on jee mains

Hello,
Your expected rank will be around 521406.You can calculate your expected rank using the formula (100-your total percentile)*869010/100
Where 869010 is the total number of candidates appeared in January session.In April session 1200000 candidates are expected to appear.So the expected rank can be calculated using the formula (100-your total percentile)*1200000/100.

Now, with 40% percentile with General category you will not qualify JEE main and you cannot get admission in any private college with such rank.You must qualify JEE main to get seat in any other private colleges.You need to appear in April session and score well.
