40500 rank is not very good rank .

You may get IIIT or good state or government college.( Depending upon your category )

You may get NIT ( But you have to compromise with the branch).

Some colleges in which you may get admission are :

BITS MESRA

THAPAR UNIVERSITY

PEC CHANDIGARH

CU

MURTHAL

NIT SRINAGAR

NIT RAIPUR

IIIT NAGPUR

etc. Or state college near by you.
