I got 44.67 marks in gate 2019 ece general category.Is there any chance for me to get into an N.I.T?

Hi aspirant

You have fair chance that you can get NITs, not in top NITs but  atleast in any other NITs.

When it comes to general category student they might get interdisciplinary streams .If there will be enough seats then you might get whichever you chooses but chances are less.You should apply for CCMT counselling.

Apart from that you can apply higher education in foriegn universities that accept GATE score.
