48.72 percentile is too low to fetch you reputed colleges like IITs and NITs as they accept maximum of 20k applications. The tentative qualifying marks for GEN Category students in 89.75, followed by the OBC, SCs and STs. Don't lose hope. You can do better. Sit down and self-analyse your flaws, uncovered portions and find scope of minute to minute improvements. You can still search for medium colleges but rather than going for lower branches, appear for the exam once more. Securing above 80 is not that tough unless you go through your syllabus with rigorous practice of questions.
