Hello,

Based on previous year trends, your selection for the NMMS scholarship in Bihar is unlikely. Here's why:

  • Qualifying Marks : General category students must score at least 40% (36/90) in both MAT and SAT, while reserved categories require 32% (29/90).
  • Your Scores : You achieved 51 in SAT and 62 in MAT, totaling 113 marks.
  • Previous Cut-Offs : General category cut-offs range between 120-150 marks, while reserved categories fall between 90-95 marks.
  • Scholarship Quota : Bihar awards scholarships to 5,433 students annually.
  • Topper Scores : In 2024, top scores ranged from 140 to 153 marks.

With a total score of 113, your selection is unlikely.

Hope you find it useful !

Based on your 51 (SAT) and 62 (MAT) scores in the NMMS Class 8 Bihar 2024-25, you meet the minimum eligibility criteria:

General Category: Minimum 40% required in MAT & SAT.

SC/ST Category: Minimum 32% required.

Your scores: MAT (68.89%) & SAT (56.67%) → Eligible.

Additional Criteria:

Class 7 Marks: 55% (General), 50% (SC/ST) required.

Family Income: Must be ≤ 3,50,000 per year.

Since you meet these criteria, you may qualify, but final selection depends on cutoff & seat availability. Check SCERT Bihar for updates.

hi ,

as per the data provided by you your score for SAT - 51 and that of MAT - 62 .which makes it a total of 51+62=113 out of total 180 marks in the NMMS 2024-25 .

the eligibility criteria for NMMS are as follows -

  1. minimum passing marks - general category - at least 40% in both SAT and MATs ., SC/ST - at least 32% in both sat and mat .
  2. academic performance- a minimum of 55% in class 8th final exams .

  4. analysis of your score - SAT - 51/90 = 56.67%  , MAT 62/90 = 68.89% .

final selection consideration are as follows -

the final selection depends upon the number off factors and state specific cut-off marks as follows -

  • number of applicants
  • difficulty of exam
  • reservation policies
  • available scholarship of the state .

next steps you can do  to ge admission in NMMS are -

  • ensure to maintain or exceed the required 55% in your class 8th final exam .

According to the last year the cut-off marks for NMMS Bihar 2024-25 are:

- General Category: 62 (MAT) and 53 (SAT)

Since your scores are:

- MAT: 62

- SAT: 51

You've met the MAT cut-off but fallen short of the SAT cut-off by 2 marks.

Unfortunately, it seems it may be difficult that you'll be selected for the NMMS scholarship based on these scores. However, I recommend to wait for NMMS results and cut-off marks with the official NMMS website or the Bihar state education department once results are out.
