Dear Drishya,
First of all congratulations for getting 527 in NEET 2018.
Though getting a MBBS seat depends on the category you belong ( i.e general / reserved) or the state you belong, It is likely that you will get MBBS seat in government medical college under obc category with 527 marks. So just stay calm and wait for results to be announced.
Best of luck !
- The NEET cut off varies from year to year, state to state and as well as college to college. It also depends on the Quota you are applying through as well as the Category of Admission. Government and Private Colleges have cut-offs of their own.
- Assuming you are applying through the 15% All India Quota under General Category for a Government Medical College, the cut-off for NEET 2017 was Rank 5579 which corresponds to a score of approximately 520 marks out of 720.
- This year, as competition gets tougher every year, you must get a score above 540 to ensure a seat in a good Government Medical College through 15% All India Quota.
- You have a very good chance through State Quota. So make sure you have all your documents right. Please remember, this is not the absolute dictum. It ultimately depends on your percentile. You have a good score!
All the best!
With that score you will get a seat in a good government medical college and one of the best in your state for sure.
Good luck to you!
