It is quite difficult to predict what percentile you will be at given a particular MAT score. As you are also aware percentile is based on two things

1. No of candidates who have given the exam

2. No of candidates who are below you

Based on previous trends around 760-780 gives you a 99+ percentile.

A score above 500 can be said to be average performance and hence at 538.5 you can expect around 50 percentile in MAT. Accordingly, I would suggest the following colleges:

1. JK Business school, Gurgaon

2. SOIL

3. BIB Pune

4. GITAM

5. Jaypee Business school, Noida

6. Calcutta Business school.

MAT exam does not give you a better edge and better b school .

There re only few b school which takes MAT scores

1. Kj somaiya

2. Xime bengalore

3. Welingkar mumbai

4. Tapmi

I would suggest to focus more on CAT, CMAT,XAT exam rather than MAT , as these college provide you a better opportunity and better exposure along with atop B-School across India.

Along eith these try to focus on SNAP,NMAT,etc  . Don't just prefer MAT only

Average offered packages, Original packages vs CTC offered, Infrastructure and Facilities available, closeness to your Home town, Companies that actually visit the campus on a daily basis, Diversity of Profile of Students and Total Number of students that compete for placements, If 100% placement is offered by the college refer to the parameters for this like do they ignore dropoffs or startups or any other students for that sake.

Once you consider all these factors also look at the aesthetics of the college you have to live and work in it for 2 years and at last have a POC from these colleges that tell you about ground realities of the college.
