Taking a Mechanical engineering stream in vit vellore is not so tough.if you apply for VITEEE enterence exam you should come in top 15000 rank in exam.Beacause the top 1000 students might get selected in IIT or NIT’S.Other students will select CSE,IT,ECE streams,So its a most advantageous if you are selecting ME.Parallel with ECE stream students also prefer to take ME specialization in automobile and less prefer ME core because of less scope.

i cant specify the marks because they dont tell the candidates how much they have scored out of 125 but if we make an assumption it could be 70–80.
