Hello

To apper in the JEE Advanced exam you will need more than 70 % marks. Many students have socre more than this. Only 224000 students are going to the next round of JEE Advanced. You have to clear the JEE Mains exam with good percentage of marks.

To clear the JEE Mains April exam you have enough time, start your preparations from now. Take help from the list of preparation tips given here for JEE Mains exam.

Make a fixed schedule

Make a list of books and notes and study material you want to prepare from

Make a complete sight on the syllabus for exams

mark the important topics and read them first

ask to your teachers if you get any doubt

Do prepare a list of formulas and basic concepts for quick revision

solve previous year questions for practice

stay positive and work by heart don’t waste a single minute from now

The exact cutoff percentile for qualifying JEE Mains and to be eligible to give JEE Advance is not yet announced by National Testing Agency (NTA).

Also JEE Mains examination is happening again in April 2019 therefore it cannot be estimated.

For general category it is predicted that students with 85+ percentile will be eligible to give JEE Advance. But this is not exact. As I said it can change.

With 54.71 it will be difficult to clear JEE Mains. You have an opportunity to again give JEE Mains in April to improve your percentile.

If you still have any queries feel free to ask in the comment section down below.

All the best.

Hello Shreyas Purohit,

The cut-off will be announced in April for jee advance, so you have to wait till april to know the cutoff for JEE Advance because it will depend upon the number of students appearing in April too.

You can use the formulae given below to claculate your rank -

Rank Formula = (100 - your total score) X 874469 /100.

874469 are the number of candidates appeared for JEE mains 2019 January attempt.

All the best!

Thanku.
