Hello student,
If you are sure you want to pursue Engineering and are also passionate to build your career in a particular branch or field such as CSE, CIVIL, MECHANICAL, ECE, you should go for diploma course in that particular branch or field. Doing diploma and scoring good percentage there will help you get a seat in top government or private Institutes for degree in the same branch.
If you are not very sure about which branch to pursue Engineering in, you should go for cet. As you percentage are low in HSC, you will have to score high in cet to get top state level government Institutes.
If you want admission in IITs, NITs, or IIITs you will have to prepare for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced exams. These are the top Institutes in India for engineering. The competition for these exams is very tough and one has to prepare with proper discipline and dedication.
I hope this clarifies your doubt.
All the best!
