I got 59.6% in 12th C.B.S.E (all 6 subjects), now placements are going in my college and company are asking for 60%. Can I exclude my maths marks according to c.b.s.e top 5 subjects rule (English + top 4 subject). Is there any statement from c.b.s.e for proof? Is the rule applied for company hiring?

Hello,

As for the cbse marks calculations, you have to include 5 subjects for your total percentage and exclude the sixth subject. But you have to keep in mind that you have to choose the best of five including your language subject for calculating your overall percentage. You can exclude your maths while calculating for your percentage if you have scored more marks in your sixth subject. You can substitute your maths marks with your sixth subject marks.
