Dear candidate, there are two cases here. If you have already done preparation of JEE Main once and you know everything about how JEE Main preparation is done, its syllabus, if you are confident you can study those same things regularly on a daily basis for 7-10 hours, sacrifice your distractions then you should definitely go for a drop. Ask yourself, can you score better and clear NIT cutoffs of JEE Main, then you should go for a drop.
On the other hand, if you have never prepared for JEE Main, then you should give 7-10 days time on the topics asked in JEE Main and check if you can study for a stretch of 8-10 hours and if you dream about, you can sacrifice distractions, then definitely go for drop.
