First of all let me introduce you with some of the eligibility criteria for admission in NIT,IITs through JEE mains/advance.
- First of all candidate should have appeared in maths, physics, chem.
- Candidate should have secured 75% in class 12 boards or be in top 20 Percentile in his/her respective board.
But. Definitely you would be able to give jEE mains since it requires only passing Marks in boards.
Hui Vaishnavi,
First, you must ensure that you are in the top 20 percentile of your state board because you have not been able to achieve the required 75% aggregate in 12th for general category or 65% aggregate for sc, st and obc category. This criterion you have to fulfill for an IIT, NIT or GFTI.
Looking at your percentile, I think you will have to apply for private colleges because you will not be able to get an IIT, NIT or GFTI even through JoSSA counseling.
Hope this helps you.
All the best!!!
