I got 6.8cgpa in 10th and 65.5%in 12 and 55%in Graduation and 80%tile in cat.How much chances to get high mba college with best placement?
Unfortunately with your academic profile and marks in graduation, you will not get the colleges you desired based on your parameter of best placement. It is better you start preparing for CAT 2018, and also do appear for other management exams like XAT, NMAT, IIFT, TISSNET, MICAT, MH-CET, SNAP, MAT etc so that you have more options in hand.
All the best!
Hi Radhika,
You have a good score in CAT exam, you can apply for the following colleges. Please go through the link https://bschool.careers360.com/articles/what-if-my-cat-percentile-between-80-and-90-do-i-have-any-chance-at-top-b-schools .
Hope this helps!
Radhika first of all with your academic records I can see that you have an average profile, your profile is not so strong which will be a drawback for you because all the top b-schools uses academic marks as one of the parameters to make your aggregate score which is used to make a merit list in order to call students for the second round of WAT, GD and interview.
TO tackle this drawback you only have one solution to score a very high percentile but again with only 80 percentile in CAT exam won't help you get into top colleges who obviously have better placement than other colleges which you want.
Of course, with 80 percentile you will end up in an average college but you cannot expect very good studies and amazing placement from those colleges. Remember this is 80 percentile you are scoring not 80% marks. if 2 lakh students are giving exam then with 80 percentile your rank will be 40,000 so you can calculate how low is your probability of getting into top b-schools.
So, in short, you have time for the CAT'18 exam which is sufficient enough to improve your performance if you plan and work very well. And aim for atleast 90+ percentile in order to increase your probability of ending in a top college to a good extent.
Feel free to ask if you have any more queries. All the best!!
