Your academic scores certainly make you eligible to apply for CAT. Scoring 90 percentile in CAT definitely will give you a good chance to get admission in a renowned B-school. First, you will be shortlisted on the basis of your CAT score. Then, you will be appearing for selection rounds which usually include Group Discussion, Writing Test, and Personal Interview.
