I got 70% in class 12th and have taken a drop. I dont want to take engineering but want to attempt mains just to check my preparation level?

I understand that you have dropped one year to give jee main exam but you are not intrested in engineering but what you want to know from us.
Also I want to suggest you that if you don't want to do engineering than dont waste time in preparation for jee main instead start preparation for the field in which you are interested .at first see what is your future plan and aim in life and work hard in that field.

If you meet the following eligibility criteria then you are eligible for jee mains:-
Candidates who have passed class 12 or any other equivalent exam in 2018 or 2019 or those who will be appearing in class 12 or any other equivalent examination in 2020 with PCM as subject will be eligible to appear in JEE Main 2020. Those who have passed class 12 or equivalent examination in 2017 or before and those who will appear in 2021 or later will not be eligible to appear in JEE Main 2020. Aspirants who have appeared for their class 12 in 2017, failed in 2017 but have appeared again in 2018 and passed are not eligible for JEE Main 2020.
